I was wrong about 1-1 being the next stage of the program (somehow I misremembered), it was 2-2 X 5 (i.e. 2 mins run + 2 min brisk walk, 5 times). So I ran for 10 mins (vs 7 mins per day for the past 4 days). It was a good feeling, seeing myself improve
Himanshu ran with me today, so it wasn’t that boring as it was yesterday. I would run withDharmendra tomorrow morning at lalbag, lets see how much can I run at a stretch.
I tried to switch from nights to mornings today. It was damn cold and raining, so I decided to run at night and went back to sleep
At night, I switched from 1-2 Min to 1-1 Min plan (i.e. 1 Min running and 1 Min brisk walking, 7 times in a go) which is the next stage of the program that I am following. It was a bit harder than yesterday, but went on fine!
It is really boring to run without music, so I would have to either quickly move on to running continiously for a longer stretch; or would have to embed the timmer in my music and then add that to my ipod shuffle, which I don’t want to do as it restricts me to decide the music for the entire duration of my workout in advance.
It was drizzling today. I don’t know if I am playing with fire here, but today I ran in rain.
It was fun! Clearly better than yesterday and the day before. Either the 1-2 Min plan is really working or the drizzle made it fun
I am glad that I am loving my runs, It would be great if I could listen to music while running, but unfortunately I have not yet seen a MP3 player that would let me program workout related instructions over music that I have…
This would have been my excuse, had I not been tracking what I do to lose weight… (No, I am not promoting LifeMojo by saying this, it is a fact. Just start tracking what you do in a diary for a day or two, and you would know what I am talking about)
It was fun running today, I had to put-on a sweatshirt because of the wind and the cold, but it was awesome running in this cold. Didn’t feel breathless too early today, and the 1-2 min method seems to be working…
Being a beginner at running it is obvious for me to search for stuff around it on Google. I thought I would share the gyan that I find, here on my blog so that you guys can point me in the right direction.
Here is an informative video on about.com on streching exercises before and after running.
