I was a bit confused between Swimming and Running. I love swimming but I can’t find Swimming Pool everywhere I Travel, so finally decided to give both a shot!
Learned a few techniques to improve my swimming strokes from Ajay (a friend who stays in the same apartment complex as I do) this Sunday, and bought a book “The Runner’s Handbook” for running, I had never realized that there was so much to running. Anyways, I read a few pages and I couldn’t stop.
I took the fitness tests mentioned in the book and realized how (un)fit I am. There is a lot of gyan in this book on what, how and how much to do to be able to develop a Running Habit. I won’t spoil it for you and let you explore the book on your own.
Anyways, the good news is that I have started running as per the plan for beginners in the book.
Here is how it looks for me in the first week:
- Streching Exercises for Calves, Hamstring, Quadriceps, Groin, Lower Back
- Warm Up : 5 Mins, brisk walk
- [ 1 Min Running followed by 2 Min Walking ] X 7 Times
- Cool Down : 5 Min, slow walk
- Streching Exercises for Calves, Hamstring, Quadriceps, Groin, Lower Back
I have planned it on LieMojo, and WOULD continue following the plan and hope to run a Marathon soon…
