December 11th, 2008 — My Weight Loss Journey, Running
Today was awesome !
I did 5-2 X 4 (i.e. 5 minutes Running + 2 minutes Brisk Walk; 4 times) which is 5-2 X 1 times more than the plan, and that wasn’t all
I ran for 2.5 Kms after this (as I did on Day 9). It feels great to see the progress. The next milestone for me is to run 3 Miles the coming Sunday at Lalbagh.

I didn’t run yesterday. I was a bit sad about something related to work. Anyways, today too wasn’t good as far as running is concerned
After the warm up, (I don’t know why but) I decided to measure my speed. I completed 1 Km in 5 minutes, so 12 Km/hr which is ok for me as a beginner, but after that I couldn’t run as per the usual 5-2 X 3 program. I ran for about 3 more minutes, and then knees started hurting. I walked for about 25 minutes and then stopped.
I guess I should just keep the Sundays for the experimentation and follow the program on weekdays

Having warm water after meals is the simplest thing that you can do to avoid water retention. It helps in digestion as well. The exact how and why is something that I am reading now a days (as part of the Nutritionist course). All I know till now is, this has been proven statistically; so I have started following it
December 9th, 2008 — Weight Loss Secrets
This is the first post in the weight loss secrets series. These are not actually secrets, but a lot of things that a Nutritionist studies / knows. And instead of making notes on a paper, I feel it would be way better to share it with you guys than just keeping it to myself

5-2 X 3 is tough… I feel breathless during the last minute of these 5 minutes.
Also, I think running at night is not the right thing for me to do. I can feel the food getting all jumbled up in the tummy while running. I would try to shift to the mornings from tomorrow.
Music is helping me to run. But I would advise you to suite yourself. I guess if you like being alone, you would enjoy your runs without the music, but if you hate being alone (like me), you should run with it.
